Zoe Loren Make a Difference Foundation funds two summer programs for under-served children

The Zoe Loren Make a Difference Foundation provided grants to two local organizations that work with under-served children. In Zoe’s memory, our family is honored to support programs that make a positive impact on the lives of children in Palm Beach County.

The Foundation funded a comprehensive summer art program at The Achievement Centers for Children and Families, located in Delray Beach. The children’s summer art program included monochromatic drawing, acrylic painting, sculpting, and watercolors. Take a look at some of their great artwork!

The Achievement Centers for Children & Families is a community-based organization dedicated to serving low-income children and families. They provide childcare and academic opportunities to low-income children in southern Palm Beach County. Their services meet critical needs: affordable toddler, preschool, afterschool and summer programs to families living below the poverty line. Visit http://www.achievementcentersfl.org/ to learn more about their incredible work.

In addition, the Zoe Loren Foundation provided funds for eighty children at the Edna Runner Tutorial Center in Jupiter to enjoy field trips to the Miami Seaquarium and Billie Swamp Safari. Travis Conway, the Program Director at Edna Runner recently wrote,” I would like to say a big THANK YOU to you and everyone at the foundation for touching so many young minds this summer. This summer was truly one for the books. Our students and staff had the best time at Billie Swamp and Miami Seaquarium. At Billie Swamp, the children had an opportunity to ride on an airboat and learn about many wild and exotic animals. At Miami Seaquarium, the children saw many shows where they got wet and saw Orca a huge whale! At both places lunch was great and we also received a compliment from both diners about how well behaved our students are. For many of our students, this was their first time on a charter bus and also their first time out of Palm Beach County.”

The Edna W. Runner tutorial center is a provider of after school, winter break, spring break and summer camp services for children in grades K-8 in Jupiter, FL. Their objective is to provide educational support, increase grade point average and self-esteem. They help students develop interests, skill and knowledge in a variety of areas all within a safe, warm and nurturing environment. Visit http://ewrunnerctr.org/ for more information about this wonderful organization.

We are so proud to enable these organizations to offer more opportunities for their children. We are deeply grateful to all of our sponsors and supporters who have made these donations possible.
